The year 2013 brought a southern sized whirlwind of change. The biggest change being the location of the shop. Formerly in West Village, the new site of Transit has now become Lower Greenville. This 'site' has become more of a home for employees, beloved regulars, and local residents alike. The area is bustling with new businesses along the Greenville corridor, and Transit is proud to be a part of this community.
Other changes in Transit for 2013 included the addition of some new faces in the shop. Nick, Sara, and Elle, have all been taken under the wing of employment with the shop this past year and have been graciously welcomed by everyone. It is a special place to spend 8 hours of the day working with the mechanics of tune ups, serving as consultants for new cyclists, and gaining new experiences and bonding with both new and old faces around the shop.
The final bright addition came as the holiday buzz and ice storm blew over. The shop's sign now glows all sorts of colors indicating that, yes, there is in fact a bike shop here. Ride by at night to see the sign in all its light show glory.
But all of that is old news. 2014 is the new 2013, and there are plenty of exciting new shop surprises generating. The first we are all privy to -you are navigating the newly constructed website, created by our beloved Connor Hill. Not only is the blog reinstated, but we will also be hosting an online store for highly coveted Transit shwag. Really.
Also to be anticipated are the new Transit kits. As flashily fantastic as last year's kits had been, the new kits are promised to be as exceptionally elegant. Your only hint for now: Keith Haring. The kits will be available before spring pops out, and order-able through this very website.
